Frequently Asked Questions

When will I be contacted?

Answer: A coach will contact you sometime during the week after the last regular registration date. They will give you instructions on when the first practice/tryout may be, collect accurate spelling and number for jerseys, and let you know in detail what equipment (socks and pant color) is needed.

What days are practices/games on?

Answer: Mandatory practice days are Monday, Tuesday & Thursday. Any other day is optional. Games can be scheduled on Monday's, Tuesday's, Occasionally on Wednesday's, Thursday's, and/or Saturday's.

When do practices/games start?

Answer: Practices will start after the last regular registration date. The Jamboree signifies the beginning of the regular season and will be a Saturday in September. Parents will have an opportunity to purchase pictures of their child at the Jamboree. Games will be scheduled on a weekly basis after the Jamboree and continue through November.

Does RRYFL charge a gate fee to watch games?

Answer: The RRYFL does not charge a gate fee for any of the regular season games. Only the Jamboree, Playoff, Super Bowl and All-Star games will have a gate fee.

How many games will the team play?

Answer: Your child will play a 8-12 game season with a playoff game and a Super Bowl if the team qualifies. Playoff format be four team playoff. The 1st place team and 4th place team, the 2nd and 3rd place teams will play a playoff game with the winners going to the super bowl unless a different format is needed.

What do I need to buy?

Answer:

Tackle Players will need: Cleats, Game Pants and Socks (Coach will let you know what color), Mouthpiece, Helmet, Chinstrap, Shoulder Pads, Practice Jersey

SAFETY FIRST: We purchase accident insurance for all players at the beginning of the season and have at least one person trained in CPR/First Aid at every game. We do a background check on coaches and require them to pass courses related to concussions, heat illness, tackling safety, etc. to ensure they are properly educated and trained.

If you miss a game, have family members or friends who can't attend in person, want to re-watch a game at anytime in the future, do a film study with your team, and/or watch for player development/improvement, we film and post our games on our RRYFL YouTube channel for you to enjoy. All of this and so much more is included when you register at RRYFL.
PROFESSIONALISM: We have a hard-working and experienced group of men and women on our Board of Directors who are elected yearly and proudly represent all of our local and surrounding areas. All of our board members are leaders in our local community and some even hold high level college degrees in areas such as business administration and teaching and work with children daily in their careers.
FOCUS: Simply put...WE PUT KIDS FIRST! We want them to have fun, learn fundamental football skills and learn to love the game of football!
FLEXIBILITY: Regular season games are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and/or Saturdays so your child's games will not ALWAYS be on the same day each week. We also take into consideration local high school homecoming activities/games, holidays, community events, and such things as major hunting dates when making our season schedules.

Customized Game Jersey will be provided for both flag and tackle divisions from the League Account.
